Award Categories and Process
Outstanding Performance Awards
Categories include Best Jazz, Lyrical/Modern/Contemporary, Musical Theater/Novelty/Character, Hip-Hop, Open/Acro/Ballet, and Tap Performance. Each category’s nominees are selected through regional competitions and further judged for excellence.
People’s Choice Award
This category is open for public voting, with finalists chosen based on their popularity during regional competitions.
Specialty Awards
Includes Choreography of the Year and Best Performance of 2024, recognizing exceptional creativity and talent.
Convention Awards
Best Convention Performance and Favorite Convention Teacher are awarded based on excellence in dance education and performance at national conventions.
Voting and Judging
- Online Voting: Starts from August 16, 2024, for various categories and concludes on August 30, 2024.
- Judging Process: Carried out by a panel of esteemed judges and through public voting for the People’s Choice Award.
